Frequently Asked Questions
Artwork & Prints
-
Do colors look the same in person as they do online?
I do my best to present my work as accurately as possible. For prints, my printing partner professionally scans the original artwork and color corrects it to match as closely as possible. Because every monitor and device displays color differently, you may see slight variations, but the giclée print itself is true to the original painting.
-
How are prints made?
My prints are fine art giclée reproductions, created with archival-quality inks on high-end cold press textured paper. This process ensures rich, vibrant color and museum-level longevity so your print will last for decades with proper care.
-
My print arrived rolled up. How do I flatten it safely?
The best way is to carefully unroll your print on a clean, flat surface. Place sheets of clean paper (like printer or tissue paper) over the print to protect it, then weigh down the corners and edges with flat, heavy objects (such as books). Leave it like this for 24–48 hours. Avoid using heat or moisture, as this can damage the paper’s texture. Once it’s flat, it’s ready to be framed.
-
What’s the best way to frame and care for my print?
To keep your print looking its best for years to come:
Frame it behind UV-protective glass or acrylic to prevent fading.
Avoid hanging in direct sunlight or humid areas like bathrooms.
Handle prints with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves to protect the textured paper.
Use acid-free backing and mats for framing to ensure the paper doesn’t discolor over time.
-
Do you restock prints once they sell out?
Some prints are limited edition and will not be restocked once sold out. Others may return — check back often or join my mailing list for updates.
Orders & Shipping
-
Do you ship internationally?
I primarily ship within the U.S., but international shipping may be available upon request. Send me a message, and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
-
How are larger works shipped?
Large paintings and prints may be shipped rolled in protective tubes for safe delivery.
-
What if my order arrives damaged?
If something arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days with photos, and I’ll work with you on a replacement or refund.
-
Can I return or exchange artwork?
Because of the nature of original art, all sales are final. Prints and merchandise may only be returned if they arrive damaged.
Commissions
-
How do I request a commission?
You can fill out my commission request form on the site. Be sure to include details about your idea, size preferences, and timeline.
-
Do I own the rights to a commissioned piece?
When you commission artwork from me, you own the physical piece. I retain the copyright and reproduction rights unless we agree otherwise. If you’d like exclusive rights, we can arrange a separate licensing agreement.
-
What’s the difference between an art commission and a bandana/logo commission?
For art commissions (like paintings), I retain the rights to reproduce the artwork unless you purchase exclusivity. For bandana/logo commissions (often for businesses), the design is exclusive to your brand, and I will never reproduce or resell it.
-
Are commission deposits refundable?
Once I’ve started work on a piece, deposited are non-refundable.
-
Can you create custom bandanas for my business?
Yes! I love working with businesses to design custom bandanas. Fill out the commission request form, and we’ll get started.
-
Do you sell bandanas with other people’s logos?
No. Bandanas that include a business logo or brand are exclusive to that client. I may share photos of the project in my portfolio, but I will never reproduce or resell it
